Check out our October newsletter, to see what we've been up to.
Every Sunday, you can find monks, board members, and the greater community working together to improve the center. They clean, donate food for communal lunch, and bring other small donations. During the week, the community pressure washes, mixes cement, fills potholes, and organizes. However small, these continuous loving sacrifices keep alive our practices. As of August 2025, we have started work on bigger remodeling projects with the goal of hosting overnight retreats starting January 2026. We do not have construction experience and are learning as we go, trying to do as much as we can with our own hands to save funds. We are deeply grateful for any time, funds, or know-how you offer.
Samu Days are collective volunteer days where we focus on cleaning, renovating, and gardening on the grounds. If you are interested in a Samu day, please contact us at centrozendepr@gmail.com and we'd be happy to have you!
Have a special skill you want to offer? Perhaps its website design, marketing, tree pruning, electrician work, or something else? Let us know; we'd be excited to collaborate!
We have big plans to improve our facilities so that we can once again host multi-day retreats. We want to build up the resilience of the property as well as beautify our gardens, walking trails, and altars to support our intense training and for all visitors to enjoy. Your donations are critical for our growth. For larger gifts requiring tax deductions, contact us for procedure.
